1. Wendy, 17 year old girl, was an outsider, she has always feel like she does not belong anywhere, but hey that's normal must kids feel that way; the only thing was that she is not like most kids. After a dramatic and cruel incident on her 6th birthday Wendy, came under the care of her aunt and her big brother. Wendy never really appreciate all the efforts her aunt and brother did for her, and when she was about to begin thanking them and making efforts to give them something in return for their sacrifices, she is forced to leave them, and then is when her adventure to a incredible and unbelievable reality will begin.
2. I read Switched as a e-book, so I missed a little bit the feeling of having it physically on my hands, though the pages design is neat and has this little flower design on some corners that make it look nice, the cover was published on the author’s blog, and the picture looks beautiful, so dramatic, but I think it needs to be worked a little but more on the details.
3. Switched is a young adult book, full of urban fantasy, and paranormal romances, three of my favorite genres. So I encourage to all who love this genres to read Switched this summer.
4. All the characters are strong and well defined, very real and not exaggerated. Though in the beginning of the book Wendy is a rebel kid, with a mean vein and she lost a bit of that on the last chapters and I really missed that. Exactly that happen to the main male character which in the beginning was kind of creepy and then he transformed completely into a gentleman, although this could be the authors intention, sometimes I wish characters remain as their personality was defined, not that they can’t evolve on the book, but there are some characteristics that they must not loose. The plot is clear, not confusions, we have a beginning a middle and a ending, and that is great, because what we expected to get solved in any way, at the end it is finally solved, no loose ends. There is only one thing I will love to ask the author.. I need some explanation about the shoes…haha ok I say no more because I don’t want spoilers here.
5. I enjoy reading it so much, the writing is so easy, so neat, that I didn’t got distracted by anything, no excessive descriptions, and no too much words to tell one thing. Amanda Hocking has a very funny and enjoyable way to tell stories is like she were gossip with you and that is lovely. I had fun and I really love some of the male characters, attractive, loyal, valiant, all of what a girl wants.
6. Switched is a beautiful book, with lots of fun, with a unique spooky vein, and lots of romance. It need a little bit more of action, and some closures,but definitely I am really looking forward to read the sequels of it.
7. I really recommended it, specially for the summer vacations. And if you love all paranormal romance, and urban fantasy, this is a must read for you. I give it 4 Crazy Book Cat (s).

1. Kaye es una chica excéntrica que ha perdido el interés por la vida que la rodea, llevada sin rumbo por su madre alcohólica, Kaye ni siquiera tiene oportunidad o ganas de asistir a la escuela. Pero cuando la madre de Kaye tiene un incidente violento con su novio en turno, se ven obligadas a regresar a la casa donde Kaye creció, la casa de la abuela. Deben dejar la ciudad y volver al pequeño pueblo en la costa donde, para Kaye cuando era niña, existían las hadas y los duendes, un mundo que Kaye había conocido hace años atrás, el mundo de las hadas. Al darse cuenta que las hadas no solo acudían a ella en su infancia, sino también ahora, Kaye se ve envuelta en intrigas y misterios del mundo fantástico; un mundo que si bien de niña le encantaba ahora le da miedo. Y claro también estaba Roiben, un apuesto caballero de la corte Obscura, que por circunstancias extrañas ahora le debía su vida a Kaye
2. La portada del libro, es atractiva de por sí, y ayuda muchísimo a darnos una idea de Kaye, que es difícil imaginar tan solo por las descripciones de la autora. El diseño de las páginas, es simple, sencillo y clásico, agradable, sin embargo para una novela así, convendría algo un poco más melodramático, acorde a la lectura.
3. Este libro definitivamente va dirigido a adolescentes y jóvenes adultos, con un contenido, de ficción, fantasía urbana y romance paranormal, cubre casi todos los requisitos de esta audiencia.
4. La historia esta un poco suelta, le falta mas fuerza en los argumentos, mayor definición en los detalles, a mi parecer deja muchos cabos sueltos, demasiadas preguntas sin responder, estoy de acuerdo en que el tema es abordado como si no fuera la gran cosa, vaya el argumento dice “si es el mundo de las hadas, todo es posible, así que imagina lo inimaginable”, vamos estoy de acuerdo en eso, sin embargo la autora bien pudo tomarse un poquitín mas de tiempo en afinar los detalles. Los personajes son simpáticos y a pesar de lo obscuro de ellos, y de cómo son abordados, son agradables y sobre todo muy bien definidos. La crudeza de la vida de Kaye, y lo gris de su situación y el mundo que le rodea es bastante real, y las descripciones de la autora en este caso si son maravillosas, puedes sentir la brisa marina y el olor a salitre y a viejo al leer sus descripciones, el ambiente creado por Holly Black es totalmente real, cien por ciento tangible. El mundo en la Corte Obscura, es igualmente bien detallado, los gnomos, duendes, elfos, etc. que en él aparecen son fantásticos y auque me hubiera encantado poder conocer mejor el mundo, creo que de igual manera no valía la pena perder tiempo en detalles vanos sobre los gnomos, por poner un ejemplo.
5. Es un libro que me mantuvo al hilo, giraba las páginas una tras otra, algunas veces por deseos de saber que pasaba y otras muchas por el firme deseo de querer terminar la lectura pronto y cambiar a otro libro. Me gusto, me divirtió y podría leer las secuelas, sin embargo no me he encariñado por ningún personaje, no tengo necesidad de saber que les depara el futuro ni urgencia por las secuelas, no me he llevado nada del libro conmigo, sin duda, pasará de mi, como han pasado muchos otros libros antes. Ni excelente, ni malo, solo una buena lectura de una tarde y no mas.
6. Definitivamente si te gustan las hadas y su mundo, debes leer este libro, tal vez te quedaras con ganas de conocer mejor sus personajes, pero quien sabe quizá en las secuelas lo hagas. Así que le doy ( y aquí estreno mi puntuación) dos Crazy Book Cat.
