Book Review: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night."
MAGIC!!! It is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this book.
If the magic really exist it does it in the words of Erin Morgernstern.
The Night Circus, is not the story of a character or some characters, it is not a love story or the story of a competition but the story of an entity, a magic universe.
A Circus as wonderfull as you can imagine, at some points I just wished it was real, at some points I wanted to be in it, to be part of it and its amazing existence.
A mortal competition is going on beyond the tends of this circus, the competitors don't even know they are in it, though they feel something bigger than them and than the circus is going on, all characters are just pieces of the competition between two wonderful magicians who just want, at all cost, that their apprentices win and demonstrate, finally, who is the best.
The Night Circus will wrap you with its cadent writting, with its descriptions rich in essences and flavors. You will touch the Night Circus, breath it, feel it.
And finally it will trap you, and you will never want to leave.
I totally recomend it, definitely a must read this year.
Crazy Book Cats to this amazing, lovely and magic book.
