You can read it here...

Black City by Elizabeth Richards, ARC Review.
First of all I want to thank so much Damaris of Good Choice Reading who lend me this book a couple a weeks ago, she even send it all the way here!!! Thank you Dee promise I'll send it back asap.
I'll tell you the story, I read Dee's review of Black City on Goodreads You can read it here... , and as soon as I read that review I was all excited about this book, Dee is a very honest reviewer, so I trust her judgment, and then as a very good friend she lend it to me!! so THANKS!!
Now lets do business. I am not ususally drag into post-apocalyctic or dystopian books, but recently I've been reading a lot of them, so I'm kind of starting liking the gender. And Black City was an excelent dystopian book.
Here I'll leave you the blurb of Black City, taked from the author's webpage Elizabeth Richards :
A dark and tender post-apocalyptic love story set in the aftermath of a bloody war
In a city where humans and Darklings are now separated by a high wall and tensions between the two races still simmer after a terrible war, sixteen-year-olds Ash Fisher, a half-blood Darkling, and Natalie Buchanan, a human and the daughter of the Emissary, meet and do the unthinkable — they fall in love.
Bonded by a mysterious connection, that causes Ash's long dormant heart to beat, Ash and Natalie first deny and then struggle to fight their forbidden feelings for each other, knowing if they're caught they'll be executed —but their feelings are too strong.
When Ash and Natalie then find themselves at the center of a deadly conspiracy that threatens to pull the humans and Darklings back into war, they must make hard choices that could result in both their deaths.
Elizabeth Richards take us in a journey to a world devastated by war and viruses. Poorness, hunger, sickness and darkness are all around this city, in which love was impossible to grow, and yet it did.
While reading this book I imagine myself in a dark world, with dust, destroyed buildings, almost no sunshine, insecurity, mean people, bad goverments; and I realized, that unfortunatelly we are not so far away from this; yes Elizabeth Richards wrote fantasy, and yet wrote reality. Discrimination, segregation are things that happen and that have been happening for ages, and so this is the amazing of this book, it makes you think, it makes you wonder what else can you do to be a better person. I loved this book, I love when an author makes me go beyond what is written, and think about how can the story teach me something.
So faith is one of the lessons, never loose faith and never stop fighting for justice and fairness.
Ash and Natalie, make a perfect couple, they both are protectors, they take care of the ones they love, they both have fears, but most important neither of them are perfect, which makes perfect sense in a such unperfect world.
Natalie is kind of a spoiled child, even the hard events she has been through, she has not notice yet how hard the life is for the ones, that does not have an emmisary as a mother, she will learn it and grow up.
Ash has all the thing I love in a male mc, he is not good, not evil, he is the bad guy, but he loves his family and friends, and he feels lonely, and hasen't realized how strong he really is.
All the characters are well written and you get to know them pretty well, and you will hate them or love them.
You will cry, will feel fear, will fall in love and in the end, you will be dying the read the sequel.
I totally recommend you this book.

Sentiras The Night Circus, lo respiraras.
Y finalmente te atrapara, y nunca querras salir.
Totalmente recomendado.

Book Review: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night."
MAGIC!!! It is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this book.
If the magic really exist it does it in the words of Erin Morgernstern.
The Night Circus, is not the story of a character or some characters, it is not a love story or the story of a competition but the story of an entity, a magic universe.
A Circus as wonderfull as you can imagine, at some points I just wished it was real, at some points I wanted to be in it, to be part of it and its amazing existence.
A mortal competition is going on beyond the tends of this circus, the competitors don't even know they are in it, though they feel something bigger than them and than the circus is going on, all characters are just pieces of the competition between two wonderful magicians who just want, at all cost, that their apprentices win and demonstrate, finally, who is the best.
The Night Circus will wrap you with its cadent writting, with its descriptions rich in essences and flavors. You will touch the Night Circus, breath it, feel it.
And finally it will trap you, and you will never want to leave.
I totally recomend it, definitely a must read this year.

Reseña: The Iron Knight de Julie Kagawa

Book Review: The Iron Knight By Julie Kagawa
First of all, thanks so much to Harlequin, for lend me this galley. Said that, I can start with this review, which I'm so glad to write.
I'm totally in love with The Iron Fey Series, Julie Kagawa, truly amazes you with her writing, and her stories surprise you every time, you will never know what to wait.
The Iron Knight was a long expected book for me, and I must say it didn't dissapoint at all.
The voice of Ash is clear so real, and believable, he is strong, and rude maybe, but he is also so caring, is evident his love for the people he cares, but not in a girly way, he is totally guy, which is amazing knowing it was written by a woman, that's when you may believe that this characters all ready become more real that just in the paper, they had actually become a reality. They exist.
It's a dark book, is maybe not as sweet or light than the first ones, this is more dark, is terrifying at some points, the escenarios can creep you out, let you with out sleep, some of the characters are just disturbing, but the most frightening thing at all, and this may be kind of spoiler, is the idea of dissapear, when nobody thinks nomore about you, so sad.
The journey Ash will began will let him with just two options, and it is so distressing that you never know what he will do, not until almost the very end, so distressing, Julie Kagawa is truly a master.
This journey though is not only for Ash is also for us like readers .. Julie do something more than write fiction this time.. she wrote introspection, the story makes you wonder about your own life and your own decisions, this books goes beyond fantasy to be very very alive.
I loved all the characters even the Grim, that at some points you just want him to shut up.
I really truly strongly recommend you this book. And if you have already read it, please let me know your comments about it!!!

Happy New Year... errr I know I'm late
So finally I'm back, hope I'll be able to post more this year, is a promise. TO begin with this year I wish you all the best, let's enjoy it, cause let's face it, it can be the last, LOL, I really does not believe that...
Any way here I am, and what I want to tell you today, is what I am reading.
First, The Clockwork Prince, by Cassandra Clare, sooo expected, I know it will not dissapoint, I'll let you know later.
Second, I'm still trying to finish Torment, by Lauren Kate, I dunno why it still hasn't trap me yet.
Third, Crossed by Ally Condie, I like'd Matched, I hope this can be a little bit better.
And finally I'm reading The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop, which is not a YA for a change and it is so wonderful to be reading something different so far I'm enjoyng it , but it is soooo long I know I'm gonna take a while on finishing it.
Finally my last book of 2011 was Divergent by Veronica Roth which actually ROCK!!, lol even though it remind me some other books, I really liked it, I felt it was so fast and distresing, but it was amazing, I will go further in its review.
So, what are you reading?? what were your best and your worst of 2011?? come on.. fill my feed LOL
Enjoy this year!!!
